OUT OF TOWN PATIENTS
In addition to serving the Metro Atlanta region, we are pleased to welcome patients from all over the United States and as far as the Caribbean Islands, Montreal, London, Nigeria and Shanghai. Your out of town surgery adventure begins when you contact our office to schedule your Virtual Consultation. Or if you will be in the Atlanta area in the near future, we are more than happy to schedule you for an in-person consultation with our renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Ruth Celestin. As with in-person consultations, we do require a $100 consultation fee to reserve your appointment, and this applies to any procedure you have or products you purchase.
WHAT’S NEXT? BOOKING YOUR SURGERY
When you have made the decision to move forward with surgery, a 20% deposit will be required to reserve your preferred date. Please see our cancellation policy (LINK HERE). The full balance for your procedure is due 2 weeks prior to your surgery date. Once your surgery is booked, our patient coordinators will e-mail you forms to fill out including consents and post-operative instructions. If medical clearance or labs are needed to get ready for your surgery, this information will also be included. Two weeks before surgery we will also schedule your pre-operative appointment (which will also be a virtual appointment) with Dr. Celestin. This will be an opportunity to ask any additional questions you may have. She will review your labs, medical clearance and post-operative instructions. For some patients, an in-person appointment the day before surgery may also be required. Review the materials that are sent to you carefully in preparation for these appointments. Your best outcome will result from following the post-operative instructions closely!

YOUR RECOVERY
We recommend that our out of town patients utilize a private duty nurse to ensure that you receive special medical attention from an experienced provider. Our patient coordinators will help you to arrange this aftercare. Following your procedure, you will return to our office the following day for evaluation and depending on your surgery you can expect to return home 2-14 days later.
We also recommend that you let your primary healthcare provider know that you are planning to have surgery so that he or she will be able provide urgent local in-person evaluation if needed. While we do not anticipate issues, our preference at Celestial Plastic Surgery is to be overly prepared to ensure your health and well-being throughout this process. However, Dr. Celestin will continue to follow up with you via in-person or virtual follow up appointments for a full year after your procedure.
